How long have you been in business?
We have been in business since 1998. We have been in the same location since 2001.
What is your primary product or service?
We specialize in Government Loans. VA, FHA, USDA, Texas Vet are our specialties. We can also help with HUD repos, Rehab Loans as well as Down Payment Assistance Programs, Energy Efficient Mortgages and of course the Mortgage Credi Certificate where you can save up to $2000 a year for as long as you own the home!
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After graduating from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Finance (Econ Minor)we relocated to Louisiana where my husband was a B-52 pilot. We began buying and selling properties. We had such TERRIBLE experiences with mortgage companies, culminating in a missed closing on December 23rd and nowhere to go over Christmas! (a phone call on December 20th or 21st would have been nice)
I decided there had to be a better way. So at Advent, we really care about our customers. We try to make the process as painless as possible.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our experience, expertise and caring. We have been originating Government Loans since before it was cool. We are used to helping borrowers with challenges of all kinds. We never say no, but we sometimes say "not yet". But then we will give you a plan to make home ownership a reality.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Same location since 2001. We serve the entire state of Texas.
